Born and raised in Rochester, Kelly Hider completed
an Associates Degree at MCC in Liberal Arts in 2003, and then headed
west. She lived in Northern California in a small town amidst the
mountainous wilderness of the Sierra Nevada mountain range for two
years. This is when her attention to her surroundings started to
surface in her work. Living again in Rochester, Kelly Hider is now
one semester away from completing her BFA degree from SUNY Brockport.
This exhibit at the Rush Rhees Library Gallery is her second solo
show, her first being at the A/V Space in Rochester in July, 2006
entitled, Mary Lee and Other Delicate Characters.
